Xanthelesmas are deposits of fat filled foam or xanthoma cells in the superficial dermal layer of the skin often surrounded by scarring and inflammation. The conditions of having them are called xanthelasma. About half of the patients with xanthelasma have a metabolic disorder with increased fat in blood.
This deposition usually happens around eyes, many persons do not like it and this can be easily removed in single sitting or in multiple sittings without much discomfort.
